The Antiques + Modernism Winnetka Show is already on your social calendar for the weekend of Oct. 17 to 20, as it should be.
Range of Antiques, Art to be Featured at Show
Nick Vahlkamp has been collecting black-and-white photographs since he started his career as an art dealer. He doesn't feature any photography in the Kamp Gallery - which he moved to Winnetka from Chicago 23 years ago - but he's always been interested in the art form.
See 400 Years of Design in Winnetka This Weekend
Antiques + Modernism Winnetka, a marriage of the Winnetka Antiques Show and the Modernism Show, is this weekend, October 18-20. The union (well, to be exact, it’s the third anniversary of this union) brings together design from the 17th century up to the mid-20th century, with dealers from across the country selling American, British, French and Asian antiques, as well as pieces from the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern movements.
Mix, match at Antiques + Modernism Show
When worlds collide on the North Shore it’s time for Antiques + Modernism Winnetka. The annual show fuses design periods ranging from the 17th to the mid-20th century. It will be presented Oct. 18-20 this year by the Woman’s Board of the Winnetka Community House at the Community House.
The Winnetka Show: An Emphasis on Quality
“The business of buying antiques is an expression of identity,” dutifully explains Michael Corbett, owner of The Federalist Antiques in Kenilworth Inc. and veteran dealer at the upcoming Antiques + Modernism Winnetka Show this fall. “The core of people interested in antiques are those who are interested in that shared identity and history.”
Distinctive Design
The Winnetka Community House's Antiques + Modernism Show fundraiser takes place Oct 18-29, encompassing periods of design ranging from the 17th century to the mid 20th century.
Delight in Distinctive Design at Antiques + Modernism Winnetka
This fall, the Woman’s Board of Winnetka Community House invites collectors, treasure hunters, interior designers and lovers of design to one of the country’s most well-respected fundraisers, the Antiques + Modernism Winnetka Show. Held from October 18-20 at the historic Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Avenue, in Winnetka, Illinois, this spectacular style and design event is a fusion of the Midwest’s highly regarded, long running Winnetka Antiques Show and Modernism Show and has become a standing tradition in Winnetka and on the North Shore.
